Entry for primary 3-6 will entail a written and oral assessment.
In year 6 students will do primary checkpoints, Checkpoint tests are for use at the end of Grade 8.
They are marked by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and provide schools with an external
international benchmark for student performance. Checkpoint enables feedback to be provided on a
learner's strengths and weaknesses in key curriculum areas.

KS 3
Year 7 11-12
Year 8 12-13
Year 9 13-14

In year 9 students will do secondary checkpoints, Checkpoint tests are for use at the end of Grade
8. They are marked by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and provide schools with an
external international benchmark for student performance. Checkpoint enables feedback to be provided
on a learner's strengths and weaknesses in key curriculum areas.

KS 4
Year 10 14-15
Year 11 15-16

In Year 10 students will prepare for their IGCSE’s and in Year 11 they will sit their IGCSE’s.
IGCSEs are the world's most popular international qualifications for 14 to 16-year-olds. They are your
gateway to higher education or professional studies in your home country or overseas. They can help
you: get a place at college or university at home or abroad.
IGCSE: International General certificate of Secondary Education.
KS 5
Year 12 16-17
Year 13 17-18
In Year 12 students will prepare for their AS level exams (Advanced subsidiary) and in year 13
they will prepare for their A-level exams (Advanced level)
A-levels are studied across two years: your AS year (Year 12) and your A2 (A-Level) year (Year 13).

Usually, students:
 Study four subjects in their AS year;
 Drop one, which they achieve an AS-level in;
 Continue with the other three in their A2 year to achieve full A-levels in these.

New entrants will need to do an oral and written assessment from Primary 3 upwards if you are a
transferee.
